Fashion Friday (Mixed Metals)

Once upon a time you were probably told not to mix metals (kinda like don't wear white after labor day). Well throw this rule out because designers and fashionistas everywhere are not listening and we have a feeling that the mixed metal look is going to be hot this fall. Not a fan of gold? Try Brass and bling like December did and remember light stacking can be your friend. There are boundaries of course and we will highlight those below.

1) Start off with a fun and funky cocktail ring. Wear this on your middle finger if the ring is bulky. This not only makes more of a statement but also allows more support from your ring and pointer finger.

 2) Stacking can be your friend. How fun is this look? December took a silver and CZ stretch bracelet with silver accents, a mixed metal bracelet and a brass bracelet to achieve this funk and funky look. Wear your bracelets on the opposite side of your cocktail ring because if you don't there will be more drama on one side than the other and remember that when stacking odd numbers give a better look especially if mixing metals.

3) Keep the earrings simple. Earth tones work great when mixing metals.

4) Necklaces can be bold and chunky or try a delicate chain with a bolder charm or pendant.

Ring
This ring is also made from Pilgrim and it's so old we cannot find a link on it but the enameling has lasted 3 years and the brown crystal ties in great to the mixed metal look.
